Paul D. Gibson receives Lafayette Bar Association’s President’s Award

Congratulations to Paul D. Gibson as this year’s recipient of the Lafayette Bar Association's President’s Award.

On September 8, 2016, Paul D. Gibson was presented with the Lafayette Bar Association’s President’s Award in recognition of his leadership, service, and commitment in supporting the mission of the Lafayette Bar Association.

Paul was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and is licensed to practice in the states of Texas and Louisiana. He has an active commercial and employment law practice at Gibson Law Group, and credits his GG team members for his success. Paul is a 1984 graduate of the Loyola University School of Law, has practiced law in Lafayette for 32 years, and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

Paul is a longstanding member of the Defense Research Institute and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and has also served on the boards of the St. Landry Economic Inducement District, the Lafayette Parish Growth Opportunity Technical Team, and as Trustee of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church. He is a founding member of the Down Syndrome Association of Acadiana, currently serving as the chair of its Advisory Board. He is a current member of the LBA Board of Directors, serving as chair of the Hall of Fame Committee.
